A quiet bath-only annex within the Tenzan Tōjikyō grounds along the Sukumo River, up the valley from Hakone-Yumoto. Where neighbouring 'Higana Tōji Tenzan' is a full-day complex with lounges and dining, Ikkyū has no indoor bath at all — just open-air tubs of wood and stone fed free-flowing by two springs, a sodium-chloride and an alkaline simple spring. Silver-ion sterilisation (no chlorine smell), spare design and a hushed, no-chatter atmosphere keep regulars loyal. ¥1,200; open 11:00–20:00 (until 21:00 weekends and holidays, last entry one hour before), closed Thursdays. On weekdays a ¥300 'hashigo' ticket lets you add Tenzan next door. About 5 minutes from Hakone-Yumoto Station by the inns' shuttle bus or taxi, or a 25-minute walk.
